What is 360° stitch-down construction?

The upper leather is flared outward and stitched directly down to the midsole around the boot's entire perimeter. It's one of the most durable ways to build a boot: the seam sheds water instead of channeling it, and the construction is fully rebuildable — any competent cobbler can resole it again and again.
